STUDIO GUIDELINES & TERMS OF PRACTICE

Terms & Conditions

Santulya Yog by Shreya | Last Updated: 5 October 2026

Welcome to Santulya Yog. Our studio is built on the ancient Sanskrit principle of Samatvam: equilibrium of mind, body, and breath. These Terms & Conditions establish a respectful, harmonious framework for your practice.

By attending our live virtual classes, booking private sessions, participating in workshops, or using our website (thesantulya.com), you agree to practice under these guidelines. We encourage you to read them with mindfulness.

1. Studio Scope & Eligibility

Santulya Yog provides authentic yoga instruction, traditional pranayama, guided meditation, and mindful wellness guidance delivered by teacher Shreya. Classes are conducted live online via Google Meet.

Operating Brand: Santulya Yog by Shreya (thesantulya.com)

Operating Entity: Shreya Gupta

Registered Address: New CG Road, Chandkheda, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 382424

Strict Age Requirement: All classes are designed exclusively for mature adults aged 18 years and older. By enrolling, you certify that you are at least 18 years of age.

2. Introductory Offers & Trial Weeks

To help new students experience our teaching style, lineage, and practice atmosphere, we offer structured trial access:

Free Introductory Week (Week 1)

New students are eligible for one complimentary trial week. This offer is limited strictly to Monday through Friday regular group classes during that single calendar week. Limit of one introductory offer per new student.

Optional Paid Second Week (Week 2)

Students who wish to continue exploring before committing to a monthly membership may enroll in an optional paid second week. Payment for Week 2 must be completed prior to the commencement of that second week.

Introductory weeks are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be split across non-consecutive weeks.

3. Memberships, Passes & Payment Schedules

Regular participation is maintained through monthly memberships or designated class passes. To preserve practice consistency and administrative clarity, the following payment schedules apply:

  • Monthly Payment Due Date: Regular monthly membership fees are due by the 3rd calendar day of each month. Prompt payment secures your active spot in the sangha.
  • Mid-Month Joiners: Students joining partway through a calendar month pay a reduced initial fee of 50% of the regular monthly rate for that first partial month. Regular monthly rates apply starting the subsequent calendar month.
  • Personal & Non-Transferable: Memberships, private sessions, and trial offers are issued to you personally. They cannot be transferred, shared, or gifted to other individuals.
  • Supported Payment Methods: Indian Rupee (INR) payments are processed via Razorpay. International payments (EUR, USD) are processed via Mollie. Direct bank wire transfers are accepted for select arrangements upon advance coordination.

4. Community Referral Programme

Our community grows primarily through word of mouth and personal sharing. When an active student introduces a new practitioner to Santulya Yog:

  • The referring student receives a community referral credit toward their subsequent regular paid monthly membership once the referred friend completes their first paid monthly membership.
  • Referral credits are applied directly against upcoming membership invoices.
  • Referral credits cannot be converted to cash, refunded, or transferred to third parties.

5. Membership Pause Policy

We recognize that personal life, travel, and health events may require temporary time away from your practice mat.

Pause Guidelines:

• Active monthly members may request one membership pause per 6-month period.

• A pause may be granted for a maximum duration of up to 14 calendar days.

• Written notice must be sent to teacher Shreya via WhatsApp or email prior to the start of the pause period.

• Pause periods cannot be applied retroactively to dates that have already passed.

6. Group Classes, Punctuality & Attendance

A calm, uninterrupted practice space is essential for all students.

  • Punctuality: Students are requested to join the Google Meet room 5 to 10 minutes prior to class commencement to set up props, check audio/video, and center themselves.
  • Late Entry: Once opening chanting and pranayama begin, entry may be delayed or restricted to preserve group focus.
  • Missed Classes: Group classes take place on a fixed regular timetable. Missed group classes are non-refundable and cannot be carried forward or accumulated into subsequent months.

7. Private Sessions & Rescheduling Rules

One-on-one private sessions represent dedicated personalized instruction, posture assessment, and tailored practice sequences.

Strict 24-Hour Notice Rule:

If you need to reschedule or cancel a confirmed private session, you must provide at least 24 hours advance written notice to Shreya via WhatsApp or email.

• Notice provided 24+ hours in advance: The session will be rescheduled to a mutually convenient time without penalty.
• Notice provided under 24 hours, or no-show: The session is treated as completed and charged in full. No reschedule or refund will be granted.

8. Schedule Changes & Studio Cancellations

While we strive for complete consistency, unforeseen events such as teacher illness, power failures, or extreme connectivity disruptions may occasionally require adjustments:

  • Advance Notice: We will provide as much advance notice as possible via direct WhatsApp message or email.
  • Make-Up Classes & Credits: Any class cancelled by Santulya Yog will be rescheduled or credited to your account. No student will lose class access due to studio-initiated cancellations.

9. Workshops & Special Intensives

Workshops, weekend masterclasses, and themed intensives are specialized educational events governed by event-specific booking terms announced at the time of registration.

Because workshop seats are strictly limited and materials are prepared in advance, workshop registrations are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the specific event prospectus.

10. Virtual Classroom Guidelines & Online Etiquette

To maintain a sacred, focused practice atmosphere during virtual Google Meet sessions:

  • Practice Space: Set up your mat in a quiet, clutter-free area with adequate space to move freely and safely.
  • Camera Positioning: We strongly recommend keeping your camera turned on with your full mat visible. This enables teacher Shreya to observe your alignment and provide real-time verbal posture adjustments.
  • Microphone Management: Please keep your microphone muted during active instruction to eliminate background noise. Microphones may be unmuted during opening check-ins and closing reflections.
  • Attire & Environment: Wear comfortable, breathable practice clothing. Keep distractions, pets, and secondary devices minimal.

11. Health, Safety & Assumption of Risk

Yoga is a physical discipline involving strength, flexibility, breath retention, and balance.

Personal Responsibility: You are responsible for honoring your body's physical boundaries. Never force a posture into sharp pain, strain, or distress. If a movement feels unsafe or uncomfortable, you must ease out of the posture immediately.

Voluntary Disclosure: You agree to notify teacher Shreya before class begins regarding any injuries, surgeries, chronic conditions, pregnancy, or physical limitations.

Yoga instruction is not medical advice or physical therapy. For comprehensive information regarding health guidelines, physician clearance, and risk assumptions, please review our Health, Safety & Medical Disclaimer.

12. Proprietary Teachings, Class Recordings & Copyright

All class sequences, verbal cues, breathwork methodologies, written reflections, manuals, logos, and materials provided by Santulya Yog are the intellectual property of Santulya Yog and teacher Shreya.

Strict Prohibition on Student Recording: To protect the privacy and comfort of all participants, audio or video recording of live classes by students is strictly prohibited. Screen capturing, rebroadcasting, or distributing class content without explicit prior written consent from Shreya is a violation of these terms and grounds for immediate termination of studio access.

13. Testimonials & Practitioner Experiences

When you voluntarily submit a testimonial or review through our website or direct communication:

  • You grant Santulya Yog permission to display your words, first name, general age group, and country on our website and community testimonials showcase.
  • You retain the right to withdraw your testimonial at any time by emailing contact@thesantulya.com. Upon receipt, we will promptly archive or unpublish the testimonial.

14. Code of Conduct & Respectful Community

Santulya Yog is dedicated to providing an inclusive, safe, and uplifting space for all practitioners.

  • All members agree to treat fellow practitioners and the teacher with kindness, dignity, and respect.
  • Harassment, discriminatory remarks, hate speech, inappropriate language, and disruptive conduct will not be tolerated.
  • Santulya Yog reserves the right to immediately suspend or revoke class access for any individual who violates this code of conduct, without refund.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any legal dispute arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
